is an absolutely breath-taking venue in Haywards Heath, West Sussex. Located within what was the Chapel of the old Priory, the first floor restaurant still retains the original stained glass windows designed and painted by Nathaniel Westlake (1883-1921) who's most famous works can be seen in St Paul's Cathedral. Set in finely detailed panel behind the Chef's Carvery Table are the painting that used to lie below the Reredos above the alter. Diners can also marvel at the original mural of a tradtional Catholic scene called "Christ In Majesty".
The restaurant is the perfect venue for wedding receptions, birthday parties and the like.
Hickstead is synonymous with showjumping. As host to the British Grand Prix and the only Samsung Super League with FEI Competition in the British Isles, it is the home of British showjumping. Founded in 1960 by Douglas Bunn, Hickstead has come to represent more than just showjumping however, and as it approaches its 50th birthday is equally as renowned for polo, showing, dressage, driving and even eventing!
BNI Heart of Sussex is based in Haywards Heath and meets every Wednesday for breakfast in the spectacular setting of The Priory Restaurant & Bar between 6.45am and 8.30am.
